While the Senior Hurlers and Footballers failed to make it to Croker this year, it’s the Cork ladies who are making all the headlines at the minute! And Scoil Barra is with them every step of the way! We know Scoil Barra pupils take their allegiance to the ‘Rebel County’ and the ‘Red & White’ very seriously as evidenced by their arrival to school today decked in out in a blaze of red and white and even pink!!! The loyal supporters besieged the school building and grounds in a burst of colour and demonstrated their absolute belief and faith in the ‘girls’ as they prepare for battle against Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Senior Camógie Final in Croke Park on Sunday. We would particularly like to wish local Ballincollig girls,Denise Cronin and Sarah Buckley the very best as they prepare to battle with their team against a highly fancied Kilkenny side. We here in Scoil Barra wish the ‘Rebelettes’ every success in their quest for glory as they bid to secure their 25th camogie title, their first since 2009.Is Féidir Libh!!
