Seachtain na Gaeilge 2014 was a roaring success! A fitting celebration of our Irish culture, identity, language, music and dance in a week which had it all! Lá Glas provided the colour, the Senior Infants’ flashmob dance provided the surprise element, the ceolchoirm provided the entertainment par excellence and “Amhrán na gCupán” provided the wow factor! After a hectic week of fun and activity and being ‘proud to be Irish’, the pupils of Scoil Barra finished on a high with a emotional rendition of “Amhrán na bhFiann” which almost lifted the roof off the school hall with passion and pride. Congratulations to Ms. McAdoo as Gaeilge co-coordinator for steering the ship on a smooth and most enjoyable journey!
