In drama, we pretended to live in the Kingdom of Queen Caroline. She wore a tiara and she was very spoilt. She didn’t want to tidy her bedroom and she threw out her magic clock. We had to get the clock back because it changes one season to the next and we want Spring to arrive. The clock, it transpired, had fallen into the hands of the nasty Dragon, who lived way across the Kingdom. We decided what to bring on our journey to the Dragon and we set off across mountains, rivers and fire while chanting ‘WE ARE BRAVE, WE ARE CLEVER, PROBLEMS DON’T DEFEAT US EVER.’ We confronted the Dragon who had a long tail, spines on his back and wore glasses. Despite the fact that he breathed fire he turned out to be a very kind Dragon. We decorated his den and, in return, he gave us back the magic clock. We convinced Queen Caroline to be nice to the Dragon and when she turned the magic clock to thirteen (for it is magic after all!) Spring came to the Kingdom. We placed pictures of woolly lambs and sheep eating in green fields all over the Kingdom. Take a look at the photos below to see the magic WE created.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Junior Infants!!

Senior Infants love Springtime

Daffodils
Our whole class worked together to make a Spring collage
We planted grass seeds in some soil three weeks ago. We put them on the windowsill so they would get lots of sunlight. We give them plenty of water too so the seeds will be able to grow.
Our Grass heads grew lots of hair
